Rev. GORDON GUMISIRIZA @ CHRISTIAN DISCIPLES.AFRICA is an EVANGELIST PRIEST (REVEREND) based in MBARARA CITY, KAMPALA, in the Western Region of Uganda. As the founder of Divine Fishers Ministry, he has dedicated his life to following Christ's call to become “fishers of men” since January 2024.
“Welcome to the ‘African Disciples, We are the Fishers of Men’ ministry. Our Mission is to make disciples of all nations, as found in Matthew 28:19. We are passionate evangelists and preachers dedicated to spreading the gospel in Africa and beyond.”

Guiding Scripture: Rev. Gordon's main interest is reflected in PSALM 78:4: “We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.”

His Life Testimony
The Journey Begins
My journey with Christ started in my early years when I first encountered the love and grace of Jesus. As a young man, I was searching for purpose and meaning in life, like many others. But when I truly met Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, everything changed. His transformative power revolutionized my life from the inside out.
The Holy Spirit called me into ministry, and I knew that God had a specific plan for my life. That calling has guided every decision I've made since that moment of surrender to Christ's lordship.
Called to Be a Fisher of Men
Like Peter and the other disciples, I received a clear calling from Jesus to be a 'fisher of men'. This calling transformed my understanding of Christianity from a personal faith to an active, missional lifestyle dedicated to bringing others into relationship with Christ.
I began to see that discipleship isn't just about my own spiritual growth, but about investing in others, helping them discover their own calling, and equipping them to become laborers in God's harvest field.
This revelation reshaped my ministry approach and became the foundation for establishing Divine Fishers Ministry, where our mission is to make disciples of all nations, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19.
Witnessing God's Miracles
Throughout my years in ministry, I have had the incredible privilege of witnessing God's miraculous power. I have seen the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, the sick healed, and the spiritually bound find freedom. Each miracle has deepened my faith and strengthened my conviction that God is still active and powerful in our world today.
More importantly, I've witnessed spiritual transformations—lives changed from sin and brokenness to wholeness and purpose in Christ. Marriages that were on the brink of divorce have been restored. Addictions have been broken. Families torn apart by conflict have been reconciled. These spiritual victories are far more precious to me than any material success.
Every testimony of transformation strengthens my resolve to continue in ministry, knowing that God's kingdom is advancing through faithful obedience and trust in His power.
Building a Legacy of Faith
As I reflect on my ministry journey, my heart's desire is not just to see people come to Christ in my generation, but to build a legacy that impacts generations to come. This is why discipleship is so central to everything I do.
I want to raise up a generation of passionate disciples who will carry the torch of faith forward, who will make disciples themselves, and who will see God's kingdom expand across Africa and the world. Every person I mentor, every couple I counsel, every church I serve is part of this larger vision of kingdom impact.
My life testimony is still being written. The best chapters are ahead as I continue to follow Jesus, walk in His power, and faithfully fulfill the calling He placed on my life. To God be the glory for what He has done and will continue to do.
